During the Celtic Beltane festival, the end of winter — a time full of deprivation — is celebrated. On the night of April 30th, the ghosts of winter are banished and the god of light, Bel, is welcomed during a fire ceremony.
In Edinburgh, in front of the spectacular scenery of the Acropolis on Calton Hill, an elaborate re-enactment of this ancient festival takes place. Actors in archaic costumes move to trance-like rhythms between the fires and captivate almost 10,000 spectators on a mystical journey. It is one of the most beautiful events in Edinburgh.

This Bullmoos shape was rediscovered in an old cupboard. The shape probably originated in the 1930s. Its compact design, thick bowl and strong stem immediately impressed us. Each pipe comes with three mouthpieces in different colours: black as the night, red as fire, and yellow as the sun. Inspired by Beltane’s Fire.
